Who We Are
IA Labs is a veteran-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 99-0865238) headquartered in Houston, Texas. Founded in 2015 by three Computer Science alumni from Texas Southern University, we’re on a mission to make quality STEAM education accessible to every child—regardless of their zip code.
We’re not outsiders looking in. We’re educators who’ve lived the challenges our students face. As veterans and graduates of an HBCU, we understand what it takes to overcome barriers and succeed in tech fields.
That lived experience drives everything we do.

What We Do
From robotics showcases to engineering challenges, we create spaces where families can learn together. Because when parents are engaged in their children’s STEAM education, everyone wins.
Our signature hands-on workshops bring families together to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Every workshop includes supplies and take-home projects.
We bring engaging STEAM workshops, experiments, and activities directly to schools in underserved communities. We’re not just teaching formulas—we’re sparking curiosity and nurturing future innovators.
